Community priorities, shared work
Coober Pedy Together (CPT) is an incorporated association. It supports community connection, planning, activities and advocacy, working with residents and the organisations involved in the town’s future.
The work is led by a Facilitation Group. Community workshops and conversations helped shape the Coober Pedy Plan 2024–28.
How the work began
CPT’s published history traces its beginnings to community planning conversations in 2021 and the establishment of its first Facilitation Group in 2022. Its constitution was approved on 1 April 2025.
Independent, with a collaborative role
CPT is independent of the District Council of Coober Pedy. Its November 2025 statement explains the end of ongoing council financial support and CPT’s intention to continue working with council and other partners.
