What the statement said
On 7 November 2025, CPT thanked the District Council of Coober Pedy for its financial support over the preceding years. It described CPT as an incorporated association independent of the council.
The statement said ongoing council financial support would end from November 2025. CPT intended to continue its community facilitation work through other resources, including in-kind support and local supporters, while maintaining a collaborative relationship with council.
Plans announced at the time
